NCC (Army Wing)

  • More than 200 students applied for NCC army wing. Out of which the disciplined, able and physically fit 38 (31 Boys and 7 Girls) students were selected to join the NCC in 1st Year (Army Wing) on August 05, 2018.
  • All the NCC army wing cadets actively participated in the Independence Day Celebration in the college  campus  on  August  15,  2018.  Prizes were distributed by the principal Dr. K.L. Gosain.
  • 15 cadets (10 SD and 5 SW) also actively participated in flag hoisting ceremony on Independence Day at Karan Stadium, organized by district administration.
  • On  August   25,   2018   all   the   NCC   army wing   cadets   attended   a   guest   lecture   on ‘Beti Bachhao’ delivered by Prof. Babu Ram, Chairman, Department of Hindi, Choudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani.
  • All  the    NCC    army    wing    cadets    actively participated in   the   blood   donation   camp organized  on  September  8,  2018  to  observe the death anniversary of the college founder Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia. More than 35 cadets donated  blood  in  the  camp  whereas  other cadets undertook various duties like registration of donors, managing discipline and helping the hospital staff during the camp.
  • All the NCC army wing cadets actively participated in Founder’s Day organized on September 9, 2018 to observe the death anniversary of the college founder Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia.
  • On September  17,  2018,  all  NCC  army  wing cadets   of   the   college   actively   participated in the Government    of    India’s    prestigious campaign    Swachh   Bharat    Abhiyan   in   the college campus. During the campaign cadets cleaned the college campus and surrounding areas, took the Swachhta pledge and created awareness  about  the  benefits  of  cleanliness. On the same day, lecture on ‘Importance of Swachhta   in   Human   Life’   was   delivered   by Dr. Jai Kumar, Care-taker NCC officer.
  • On September 24, 2018 all the NCC army wing cadets actively participated  in  a  prestigious  campaign Swachhata Hi Seva’. On this occasion a guest lecture was delivered by Prof. Subash Chander, Department of Hindi, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. On the same day cadets also participated in a rally on AIDS awareness.
  • On October  25,  2018  all  the  NCC  army  wing cadets actively participated in ‘Anti Crackers Rally’ to aware the society towards the air pollution and other harmful impacts of crackers.
  • All the NCC army wing cadets actively participated in ‘National Unity Day’ celebration and took the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ Pledge on the occasion of Sardar Patel’s Birth Anniversary (October 31, 2018). There after cadets also took part in Run for Unity rally to spread the message of unity, safety and security.
  • 12 cadets of NCC army wing participated in First Aid and Home Nursing training in the college campus by ‘District Red Cross Society’, Nyaypuri, Karnal from September 21-28, 2018.
  • On  November   22,   2018   NCC   Army   Wing celebrated  NCC  Day  in  the  college  campus. During the function a detailed history of NCC was briefed by the NCC officer. There after Principal Dr.  K.L.  Gosain  also  addressed the cadets and specially emphasized the roll of NCC for youth.
  • On January 12, 2019 NCC Army Wing celebrated National Youth Day. On this occasion an HIV/AIDS awareness documentary  film  i.e.  ‘TEACHAIDS’ was shown to all the NCC Cadets. On the same day cadets prepared the Poster on HIV/AIDS awareness and made a human chain.
  • All  the    NCC    army    wing    cadets    actively participated  in  the  Republic  Day  Celebration in  the  college  campus  on  January  26,  Prizes        were    distributed    by    the    principal Dr. K.L. Gosain. 15 cadets (10 SD and 5 SW) also actively participated in flag hoisting ceremony on Republic Day at Karan Stadium, organized by district administration.
  • NCC army wing of the college organized one day educational tour to Amritsar on January 30, 2019. 44 NCC army wing cadets participated in the tour and visited the Sri Harmandir Sahib, Jalianwala Bagh and Wagha Border.

Examinations:

  • 35 cadets (19 Boys and 16 Girls) appeared for ‘C’ certificate exam held at SD (PG) College, Ambala Cantt. on February 10, 2019.
  • 25  cadets  (17  Boys  and  8  Girls)  appeared  for ‘B’ certificate exam at G.N. Khalsa College, Karnal on February 24, 2019.

Results:

  • 21 cadets (11 Boys and 10 Girls) appeared for CEE certificate exam on February 11, 2018. In which 4 cadets scored ‘A’ grade in the exam. The overall result of the cadets was 100 percent.
  • Further, 38 cadets (22 Boys and 16 Girls) appeared for BEE certificate exam on February 28, 2018. In which 30 cadets scored ‘A’ & ‘B’ grade in the exam. The overall result of the cadets was 97.36 percent.

Camps Attended:

  • 67 cadets of the NCC Army wing (42 SD and 25 SW Cadets) attended the Combined Annual Training Camp held at GIMT, Kanipla, Kurukshetra from September 29 to October 08, 2018.
  • 4 cadets  of  the  NCC  Army  wing  (UO  Neeraj, Sgt. Vishpal, Sgt. Sourav & Sgt. Nitin Kumar) attended  the  CATC-153  held at GIMT, Kanipla, Kurukshetra from October 09 to October 18, 2018.
  • 4 cadets of the NCC Army wing (UO Neeraj, Sgt. Vishpal, Sgt. Sourav & Sgt. Nitin Kumar) attended the CATC-154 held at GIMT, Kanipla, Kurukshetra from October 26 to November 04, 2018.
  • 3 SD cadets of the NCC Army wing (Cdt. Arun Sharma, Cdt. Ravi Kumar & Cdt. Anil ) attended prestigious Basic Leadership Camp (BLC-I) held at Malout, Punjab from November 09-20, 2018.
  • Sgt. Nitin Kumar of the NCC Army wing attended the DCATC-I at NCC Training School, Ropar, Punjab from November 12-21, 2018.
  • Sgt. Nitin Kumar of the NCC Army wing attended the Pre RDC-I at NCC Training School, Ropar, Punjab from November 22 to December 01, 2018.
  • Sgt. Nitin Kumar of the NCC Army wing attended the Pre RDC-I at NCC Training School, Ropar, Punjab from 10 to 19 December 2018.
  • Sgt. Nitin Kumar of the NCC Army wing attended the Pre RDC-I at NCC Training School, Ropar, Punjab from 20 to 29 December 2018.
  • Sgt. Nitin Kumar of the NCC Army wing attended the  prestigious   Republic   Day   Camp   (RDC- 2019) held at New Delhi January 01-29, 2019 to represent Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate at National Level.

Awards & Achievements:

  • The cadets of NCC army wing won the Runner- up trophy in drill competition during the Combined Annual Training Camp held at GIMT, Kanipla, Kurukshetra which was held from September 29 to October 08, 2018.
  • Sgt. Nitin Kumar of the NCC Army wing attended the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC-2019) held at New Delhi from 01 to 29 January 2019 to represent Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate at National Level and selected in Rajpath March-past Contingent.
  • Sgt. Nitin of the NCC Army wing received the trophy, certificate and cash prize (11000/-) from Honorable Governor   Satyadev   Narayan   Arya at Haryana Raj Bhavan for the achievements in Republic Day Camp -2019.
  • Sgt. Nitin of the NCC Army wing received the appreciation certificate   and   memento   from Dy. DG. NCC, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Paradesh & Chandigarh Directorate, Maj. Gen R.S. Mann for Republic Day Camp -2019.
  • The NCC Group Ambala presented a memento, appreciation certificate,  cash  prize  (2000/-)  to Sgt. Nitin for his achievements in Republic Day Camp-2019.
  • 15  cadets   of   the   NCC   Army   wing   actively participated in drill/parade competition during flag hoisting ceremony on Republic Day at New Grain Market, organized by district administration and the SD contingent got IInd position in the drill.
