Women Development Cell

  • An awareness program on “Girls Safety” was conducted on August, 10, 2018 . The Haryana Police staff told the girl students about the steps being taken by the Government for girls safety. They also told about the “Durga App” an initiative of Haryana Police which will enable girls to seek immediate help in case of emergency and the steps to install this app on their android phones. In fact, all students present in the auditorium installed the app on their phones.
  • Indu Negi, famous RJ, also interacted with students and motivated them to take responsibility on their part to rise against injustice to make a difference in the society.
  • To create awareness about the importance of cleanliness amongst the students, Sh Raj Kumar, DPM from ADC office visited the college on August 24, 2018 and told the students about the “Swachh Bharat Mission” a nation-wide campaign in India for the period 2014 to 2019 that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India's cities, towns, and rural areas. He encouraged the students to keep their surroundings clean and contribute in their own way to make this mission a success.
  • A slogan writing competition was organized on the topic “Women Safety and Empowerment” in the third week of August, 2018. The Winners were:

  • Women related Quiz and an interactive session on gender sensitization were conducted on 2nd January, 2019 for the N.S.S Volunteers during their seven day camp at Uchana. Dr. Mukta Jain, Dr. Anita Aggarwal, Dr. Ritu Sharma, Dr. Jyotsna, Mrs. Aastha Bhatia and Dr. Dimple Khosla spoke on the need of eradication of gender biasness and on other issues related to women. A few ‘One-minute games’ were also organized for the students.
  • A very inspiring lecture on the topic “Women Empowerment: Walk the Talk” was delivered by Dr. Pampa Sen Gupta, Associate Professor (Retd.), Dyal Singh College, Karnal on International Women’s Day i.e. on 8th March, 2019
