Beyoncé talks protecting her peace and explains why we don’t have ‘Cowboy Carter’ and ‘Renaissance’ visual
GQ's October cover story is “The Business of Being Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.” Beyonce is adding spirits to her music business.
After releasing her eighth album, “Act II: Cowboy Carter,” Beyoncé told the outlet, “I am proud of what I have been able to do, but I also recognize the sacrifices.
I used to work hard to reach unreasonable targets without enjoying the perks.
She was certainly hesitant when her 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, asked to perform on the Renaissance tour with her.
Blue's an artist. Her music and fashion tastes are excellent. Editor, painter, and actress, she excels. Since three, she's created characters.
She's natural, but I didn't want Blue onstage, said the pleased mom. “Blue wanted it for herself. She meant it and earned it. Most importantly, she enjoyed herself!
Beyoncé knows how hard the music industry is, especially for young women, after 30 years. She praised some of her successors.
I admire and value current female singer-songwriters. She named Raye, Victoria Monét, Sasha Keable, Chloe x Halle, and Reneé Rapp. I adore Doechii and GloRilla.
“I thought it was important that during a time where all we see is visuals, the world can focus on the voice,” she said.
