Mutton Goli Biryani Recipe

Goli Bhaat, or Mutton Goli Biryani, is a traditional Maharashtrian dish made by layering biryani with mutton. Rice is mixed with minced meatballs.  

– 1 teaspoon ginger paste – 2 clove – 2 cup soaked,drained basmati rice – 1/4 cup vegetable oil – 1 cup fried onion (birista) – 1/8 teaspoon powdered cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon saffron – 1 beaten egg – 4 tablespoon corn flour – 3 green cardamom – 1 1/2 tablespoon ghee – 1 teaspoon garlic paste – 2 cup minced mutton

Mix minced meat, ginger paste, garlic paste, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, 2 tbsp cornflour, salt, and pepper in a bowl.   

Instruction

Make sure everything mixes. Make little meatballs and freeze for an hour. Mix 2 tbsp cornflour with water to produce a slurry.

Thoroughly coat each meatball in cornflour slurry. Once done, cook the meatballs till crispy and set aside. Soak saffron in milk.

Use a deep non-stick pan to heat ghee and add black cumin, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon. Mix thoroughly, then add rice.

Salt it and add 4 cups water. Bring it to boil. After boiling, lower the gas flame and let the rice cook for 10 minutes. Turn off gas.

Add half the meatballs and rice to another pan. Cover it with half the soaking saffron milk and half the deep-fried onions.

After, add the remaining half of the meatballs and leftover rice. Finally, add the remaining soaking saffron and onions. Cover the pan and simmer for 10 minutes.

Seal the non-stick pan with dough and cook on low for an hour or serve immediately. Your tasty Mutton Goli Biryani is ready. Savor the meal.
