'There Will Be No Third...': Trump Declines Another Kamala Harris Debate As Polls Show Growing Democratic Lead

On Thursday, former US President Donald Trump declared he would not debate Kamala Harris again before the November 5 election

After several surveys showed his competitor won the debate this week, Trump made his comments.

Trump told the New York Post, “We just don’t think that there’s any need for it,” at 78. “We did two.

On June 27, one against Biden, one against Comrade Kamala. I did good. In a phone chat, the 78-year-old stated he did well.

Harris said at a rally after Trump's post, “I believe we owe it to the voters to have another debate.”

Trump claimed in his article that polls showed he won the debate, although several surveys suggested Harris did better.

A CNN survey released after the debate found that Harris outperformed Trump among most viewers. YouGov found 54% of respondents believed Harris won and 31% said Trump won.

Harris leads Trump 47% to 42% in the November 5 presidential election, according to a Reuters/Ipsos survey that closed on Thursday. Voters think she won a debate versus the former President.

Harris led registered voters by five points in the two-day poll, up from four points in an August 21-28 Reuters/Ipsos poll.

53% of those who heard something about Tuesday's debate said Harris won, 24% said Trump won, and the remainder said neither or did not answer.

52% of debate watchers felt Trump faltered and appeared unfocused, while 21% said Harris did. One in five Republican supporters said Trump was dull.
